
Dawn Silva is a former member of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Inductee’s Parliament-Funkadelic and currently lead singer for The Brides of Funkenstein.
The Brides Of Funkenstein won three Record World R&B Awards for their Freshman Album (Funk Or Walk) on Atlantic Records.
In 2001 Rolling Stone Magazine rated The Brides Sophomore Album (Never Buy Texas From A Cowboy), as the top 50 Coolest album of all times, coming in at #26. The talented trio, were on the list with The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson and more!
Silva flew under the radar for much of the 90's, recording, touring and sharing stages with, (Rappers), Ice Cube, Coolio, WC & The MADD Circle, Dale The Funky Homosapien, Snoop Dogg, and more.

In January 2000 Silva released her debut CD on her independent label, SilvaSounds Music. The twelve song CD entitled (All My Funky Friends) sold well over a quarter of a million copies worldwide. Dawn headlined the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival in Den Haag Holland, to rave reviews, with performances and license deals in France, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Brasil, Japan and Canada. She returned to the United States to perform at Woodstock, 2009, breaking record number attendances with back to back performances 2009 - 2012 at The Long Beach Funk Festival, in Long Beach California.
On March 1st 2023 Dawn released a seven pound, hardback table book autobiography, with over 300 classic photos and 51 chapters, called (The Funk Queen) an Autobiography by Dawn Silva.
